Flying: Choose the Best Airport

Your choice of airports can might make a big difference in your airfare costs and how long it'll take you to get here!

Here's my advice for finding the best deals:

First, check airfares and flight schedules to the airports on Cape Cod:Barnstable Municipal Airport in Hyannis and Provincetown Municipal Airport in Provincetown.
Then, go one step farther. Compare schedules and fares to the major airports near Cape Cod: Logan International in Boston, MA and T.F. Green in Providence, RI.

More often than not, you'll save both time and money (sometimes significant time and money) if you fly in to Boston or Providence, then drive or take a bus, ferry or train the rest of the way here. Read more ...

Rental Cars: The Best Deals

I'm often asked: "We're flying to Boston then coming to the Cape. Is it cheaper to rent a car in Boston or Cape Cod?"

In my experience, it's usually cheaper to rent a car on the Cape. Although, lately I've noticed some really nice deals for Enterprise car rentals at the airport in Boston.

FYI: Here on the Cape, the major rental car companies have locations in Hyannis as well as in Provincetown and Orleans. And, as Enterprise says, they'll pick you up!
